Step 3
Preparation and Careful Removal
Once we’ve agreed on a date and time for your installation, we’ll send you a confirmation email detailing everything you need to know, including guidelines to prepare for the day. This ensures everything runs smoothly and efficiently from start to finish.
Step 4
When considering the cost of van security, it’s essential to weigh it against the potentially devastating expense of not securing your van.
A single break-in can cost you thousands in stolen tools, van repairs, and lost work.
Beyond the financial impact, the stress and downtime caused by such an event are immeasurable. Investing in professional van security is a proactive way to protect your livelihood and gain peace of mind.
The cost of van security can vary based on several factors.
One key consideration is the materials and products you choose. From basic van locks to advanced slam locks, hook locks, or electronic systems like van alarms and GPS trackers, the range of options ensures a solution tailored to your budget and needs.
Reinforced shielding, internal and external plates, or heavy-duty deadlocks can further enhance security, with each option offering different levels of protection.
Labour costs can also influence the overall price.
While premium installations, such as high-security van locks or complex electronic systems, may involve more extensive work, they provide superior long-term protection.
Simpler installations, like surface-mounted locks or basic van door protection plates, can help keep costs down without compromising essential security.
At Van Crime Solutions, we understand that every van and situation is unique.
That’s why we’re committed to offering tailored solutions that fit your budget while delivering the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
Whether you need a single van deadlock installation or a full suite of advanced security upgrades, our skilled team is here to provide expert advice and seamless service.
No matter your needs, rest assured that Van Crime Solutions has the experience, tools, and dedication to secure your van and protect your livelihood.
Your peace of mind is worth every penny.

Hi, I’m Toby and in the picture with me is my son, Matty
I have a background in security systems installing burglar alarms, cctv, fire alarms, gate automation and access control, I went into an apprenticeship straight from school and college to gain my qualifications.I served this industry throughout the 90’s and early 2000’s (00’s)...I hate the word naughties.
My transit van was targeted twice in the early 2000’s both times being cleared out, the 2nd time they must have waited for me to buy nice new tools and steal them all again (I've explained this in more detail on your form).
Personally if i am interested in something i want to know as much as possible about it and this transfers over to business, I can be quite a geek about things, I’m not happy about just knowing a van is getting broken into and needs fixing etc, i want to know how they do it, understand the weak points and vulnerabilities. I'm not content just installing a lock cylinder, I want to know how it works and learn to strip them down and re-pin them myself.
I'm meticulous in my work and take great pride in it. I get a lot of pride knowing I've done the best I can for someone and I suppose personally being on the receiving end of van crime, I’m more passionate than most.
On a personal level I live for my family, I have 10 children and my wife Jo is the glue that holds it all together.
The super wife and mum that is the core of this business too, running it day to day behind the scenes to make sure the whole process from start to finish is as smooth as it can be.
As far as being out of work is concerned, it's family time for me. We all love Cornwall and have a couple of holidays a year there, exploring the beaches, the kids surfing, and kayaking. We all share the same love for the water and just being close to it is something calm and magical.

Q: Do you accept card payments?
A: We do indeed. We have a card machine that our technicians carry with them to make payment easy.
Q: Do you install Van Security Systems on weekends?
A: We do! We're installing 7 days a week at a time to suit you.
Q: I've lost my keys! Can you help?
A: Yes we can cut you new keys or gain access to your van and change the locks for you, some customers buy a van and have no keys to the locks, we can help secure your vehicle.
Q: Will you rust proof my van whilst installing my new Van Security System?
A: Yes! We meticulously rust proof every hole we drill and cut in your van to protect it from rust. Van Security is something we take VERY seriously.
Q: Is it a good idea to have security plates (Shielding) fitted with my new security locks?
A: Yes, everything you visibly do is a deterrent and adds time to a thief trying to break into your van. The more you can do to deter a thief from trying your van, the better!
Q: What is the difference between deadlocks and slam locks?
A: A hook deadlock is far superior to a slam lock, you have to physically lock a deadlock independently to the vans central locking.
A slam lock takes the use of the vans door handle away and a key is needed to open the door, this doesn't protect you from the thieves gaining access via drilling of the vans doors but a deadlock would.
Slam locks are more suited to couriers who need to stop an opportunist trying their door handle to gain access while delivering a parcel.
Q: Do you offer any warranty on your Van Security Systems?
A: Yes we offer a 5 year parts and labour warranty on all of our Van Security Systems.
Q: How long will it take to install my security locks?
A: A Van Security System installation
usually takes between 1-2 hours depending on the amount of kit and equipment equipment installed.
Q: Do You offer finance on your Van Security Systems?
A: Unfortunately we don't offer finance on our Van Security Systems at this time. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
