Below are some frequently asked questions we get about our van security, if you cant find an answer to a question you may have please get in touch and one of our experienced friendly team will be happy to help.
Yes we offer a 5 year parts and labour guarantee as long as mechanical installs are maintained regularly with our recommended products.
Yes, we fit anything from a single lock or repair plate to a van up to fleets of vans with multiple security products.
Generally most vans are completed within a couple of hrs weather depending. we will keep you informed with timescales but generally the more products you have the longer the job will take.
Yes, we offer a repair service, we will assess any damage to your van and repair where needed with security plates and additional locks and security if needed.
The hook lock is far superior to the slam lock, it offers more protection to your vans doors hooking over onto the vans bodywork or into a specialist bracket designed for your van.
This lock, or multiples of it, stop the vans doors being opened by the classic peel and steal method.
The slam lock name is a bit deceiving as it doesn't lock your van, it disables the ability to open your van using the handles by an opportunist, using a key to open instead.
These are more suited to multidrop drivers like Amazon or DPD that require them from their employer to work. These locks don't stop your vans doors being peeled and if your central locking is compromised by cutting wires or drilling door latches they will offer you no protection.
Unfortunately the inside edges of vans doors where we fit the lockcases are not flat, they generally are angled. A cylinder fits inside a lockcase at a 90 degree angle, so when you have your front door at home for example its nice and flat straight surface to fit to. Meaning the cylinder protrudes straight.
Fitting to an angled or tapered surface means the more angled it is the more of an angle the cylinder will protrude. side doors tend to be the ones that are angled over the back doors.
This has no baring on the vans security its purely aesthetic and dependant on your make of van and the locks position.
